An intersting topic I might say

I was recently given a note saying that one of my relatives had been kidnapped and unless I made an appearance at a certain location at a certain time they would be killed. Well after having gone there I discovered the whole thing to be an elaborate hoax. Not knowing how to proceed I started an investigation so far I have not got anywhere with it, but if anyone out there could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I am actually quite sure that this is in actual relation to a trying to draw people out of their hidey holes. I have heard of cops using tricks like this and it would not surprise me to see the underworld picking up the tactic as well. All sources I have tried to contact in regards to this keep pointing me off in the wrong direction though. Or else we are all way off base here and it is in fact not so much a series of attacks and kidnappings but an organised search for some lost object.
